Lucinda Abell

After Studying BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology (1st) at The London College of Fashion Lucinda went on to gain a Masters in Printed Textiles at the Royal College of Art with a distinction for her dissertation on Originality.

Due to a background in fine art, her working technique begins with drawing extensively. During her final year at the London college of Fashion she began developing an increasingly personal aesthetic of translating hand drawings and paintings into prints, jacquards and embroideries, often engineered to the garment shapes; created through constant stand draping. This continued at the RCA. Her attention to detail and the storytelling element within her work forces the eye to explore every single corner and eventually creates somewhat unique, recognisable designs. Drawing a lot of inspiration from her farming childhood in Cheshire, eventually Lucinda plans to achieve great success with her own fashion and interiors labell in the future.
